Introducing PRMI’s Management System:
How we are accomplishing the Vision God has given us.

VIT = Vision Implementation Team

PRMI has a very small office and full time ministry staff located in Black Mountain North Carolina. So how do we accomplish ministry worldwide?

The way this works is according to the model that Jesus Christ has given us. In Acts 1:8 Jesus has promised that that He will send the Holy Spirit upon us to empower us to be His witnesses, starting in our own families, congregations and neighborhoods and including the far corners of the earth.

Through our equipping courses we have provided a way that Jesus has been and continues to fill thousands of Christians with the Holy Spirit and bring them into the dynamic of cooperating with Him in sharing in advancing the Kingdom of God. Our focus for over forty years on this basic equipping in the Holy Spirit has made possible a vast multiplication of ministry.

To enable and support those scattered around the world and in many different denominations requires a support structure. The way that God has led PRMI to provide this support is through the Dunamis Fellowship International, which is composed on people who have been through the Dunamis Equipping and are called to implement PRMI’s equipping and renewal programs around the world. As of December 2009 this growing fellowship consists of about 500 people.

These people are committed to basic doctrines of the Christian Faith and share a common vision of advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. The members of the Dunamis Fellows are volunteers, except for a couple of tent makers or “faith missionaries” who raise their own support through PRMI.

As of December 2009 the Dunamis Fellowship International consists of several regional expressions that enable a focus on what the Holy Spirit is uniquely doing in their areas. These include:

The Dunamis Fellowship Canada

The Dunamis Fellowship Alaska

The Dunamis Fellowship Britain & Ireland

Supporting this movement is the Community of the Cross: A place of Encounter with Jesus Christ – for Prayer Equipping and Sending (This is also the location of our USA office). The Community Of The Cross is the spiritual home of the Dunamis Fellowship and serves as a home base rooted in prayer for this movement.

Each of these regional expressions has their own leadership team that is discerning opportunities and implementing PRMI’s ministries’ in their areas. They also take part in various forms of Mission Outreach – DF B&I has a focus on Nigeria, while Canada and USA are focused on Asian and Latin American outreach.

The Dunamis Fellowship is basically a “mission order” raised up for providing the anointed people needed to implement programs and ministries that are fulfilling PRMI’s four vision initiatives of Prayer, Leadership Development, Congregational Renewal and Mission Outreach.

Supporting the Dunamis Fellowship and enabling the implementation of the ministry programs, is the PRMI Management Process. This is under the spiritual oversight of the PRMI Board of Directors and the Executive Director.

The key to this management process are the Vision Implementation Teams, each of which has a team leader, with members drawn from the Dunamis Fellowship International.

These Teams are organized for the purpose of fulfilling each of the PRMI Vision Initiatives and are focused on discerning the Holy Spirit’s guidance for fulfilling each of the Vision Initiatives of Prayer, Leadership Development, Congregational Renewal and Mission Outreach.

In January 2009 the following VITs were established:

VIT for Prayer
VIT for Leadership Development
VIT for Congregational Renewal
VIT for Mission Outreach

The link between the Vision Implementation Teams and the Dunamis Fellowship is that the qualification for being a member of the a Team is that one must also be an active member of the Dunamis Fellowship. These teams meet face to face once a year at the Annual meeting of the Dunamis Fellowship International in Black Mountain. But the rest of the time, because we are widely scattered on different continents and time zones, we must meet over teleconferences and the internet.

The Vision Implementation Team has the purpose of discerning how God is calling us to implement their specific vision initiative, develop programs or ministries as needed and to maintain and manage present programs. Above all their role is to locate and equip the people needed to enable the programs.

This system of the Regional Expressions of the Dunamis Fellowship and the VIT management model is releasing the creativity and initiative of those on the frontlines of ministry. It also pushes the day to day decision making and support building needed to actually implement ministry to those who are most closely involved. In this way PRMI is able to have a vast expansion of ministry with hundreds of people involved, thousands of people blessed, in multiple locations around the world.
