This is the ministry area for Leadership Development, PRMI's training and equipping of pastors, leaders and lay leaders to do the work of ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit.

 PRMI fulfills the vision for equipping leaders through the Dunamis Project tracks that are conducted in various strategic locations.
The purpose of the Advanced Ministry Courses is to take people further in knowledge and practical application in specific areas of cooperation with the Holy Spirit then is possible with the Dunamis Project. The goal is to raise up well-equipped Holy Spirit empowered leaders.
The courses are first offered to members of the Dunamis Fellowship but are open to any who may be called by God.
These courses are directed by the Pastor of the Dunamis Fellowship, the Rev. Cindy Strickler. She teaches a number of topics, develops materials, and provides the framework for the courses.
 The Rev Dr. Brad Long, Executive Director, provides the overall teaching and content for the Courses.
Teachers with gifting to cover special topics in the courses are faculty members of the Dunamis Fellowship. On occasion, teachers with extensive experience and expertise in a special area that we may not be gifted to teach are brought in from outside the Fellowship.
The Dunamis Project equipping events are open to all who may wish to attend. The Advanced Ministry Courses, however, require the completion of a simple application form and acceptance into the course.
As of 2007, four Advanced Ministry Courses are offered at the Community of the Cross in the United States, covering the following topics:
1. Advanced Healing and Deliverance Course
2. High Level Intercessory Prayer and Spiritual Warfare
3. Spiritual Leadership |

The History of the Dunamis Project
Since 1991 the primary way that PRMI has been fulfilling its vision initiative of equipping spiritual
leaders is through the Dunamis Project. Following is a short history of the development of this
equipping approach by Rev. Dr. Brad Long.
Beginnings at Jesus Abbey in South Korea
Founded in 1966, the original building at Jesus Abbey is now dwarfed by the large new buildings.
Thousands of guests go to the Abbey each year to share in the life of the community, prayer, receive teaching and ministry to grow in Jesus Christ.
The beginnings of the Dunamis Project go back to my formative experiences from 1966 - 1975 at Jesus Abbey, which is an intentional prayer community in South Korea. This place of prayer and equipping for Christian living was founded by Archer Torrey, the grandson of R. A. Torrey. Archer founded the Abbey as a laboratory in which to grow in intimacy with Jesus Christ, delve into the Word of God, learn to pray and be filled with the Holy Spirit. In this context, I grew in my faith, received teaching on the Holy Spirit, and experienced firsthand a highly effective model for developing spiritual leaders and for equipping ordinary Christians through practical discipleship. The Dunamis Project seeks to utilize a number of the principles that I saw in operation at Jesus Abbey. The Dunamis Project teaching on the Holy Spirit is based on the biblical teaching of R.A. Torrey.

How God is calling us to engage in this project of high level intercession
For months, we have had a persistent burden and calling to pray for the dismantling of the structure of evil that is being formed in radical Islam against the Western world, especially against Christianity. There has also been the ongoing struggle with the strongholds of deception in Western culture that are working from within to lead the PC(USA) and other denominations into apostasy.

This advanced ministry course, offered annually at the COC, on Spiritual Leadership meets the need of equipping church and ministry leaders for leadership that is led by the Holy Spirit and moves in the power and authority of Jesus Christ for building the Kingdom of God.
This event is offered first to the members of the Dunamis Fellowship, but others are welcome to attend if they are called by God to grow in spiritual leadership. Our facilities at the COC limit us to thirty participants so it is important that Dunamis Fellowship members register early.

Over the years, PRMI has developed its unique style of spiritual leadership that emphasizes cooperating with the Holy Spirit in doing the ministry of Jesus Christ.
This approach to spiritual leadership, which is guided by the clear teachings of Scripture and modeled preeminently by Jesus, has proven effective not only in the renewal and growth of local congregations, but also in advancing the Kingdom of God.
The Community of the Cross provides the context for prayer and equipping that is centered in Jesus Christ and led by the Holy Spirit.
This five-day event will provide systematic teaching as well as discussion of leadership situations, practical exercises and personal ministry to help each of us grow as anointed spiritual leaders. There will also be a focus on personal and corporate prayer and growth in Christ as keys to our being effective leaders.
