Korea Dunamis Network Introduction PDF Print E-mail
The Holy spirit is working to equip and commission Korean pastors and church leaders to implement the Dunamis teaching in Korea through the Korea Dunamis Network.  These leaders are being trained to use Dunamis materials, including some specially prepared in Korea, in their congregations.  The Korea Dunamis Network, under the supervision of the Rev. Ben Torrey, PRMI Representative to Korea and Co-Chair of the KDN Operating Committee, currently runs three Dunamis seminars on an annual basis in various parts of the country:  Gateways to Empowered Ministry (Dunamis 1) in local regions in the spring, In the Spirit's Power (Dunamis 2) in the summer and a new one of the each of the following four seminars each November until all six have been completed.

The Rev. Ben Torrey and Josephine Choi receive prayer at the Annual Dunamis Fellowship meeting which took place in Black Mountain, NC in January 2011.

This special equipping process began in Nov. 2009 at Jesus Abbey, South Korea. All six of the Dunamis Units have been covered, meeting two weeks at a time, covering two units at a time. The teaching team has included Master Teachers from the UK and US (The Revs. Paul Stokes and Frank Drake), who were assisted by Mary Ellen Conners, Jeanne Kraak, the Rev. Ben Torrey and Joseph Kwon. The pace was intense and the focus was to equip the participants to teach Dunamis.

During the final week of the course, many pastors shared testimonies of what they had learned and how their ministries had been impacted by Dunamis. We heard over and over how much they appreciated the team leadership that was modeled and taught in Dunamis. They also commented on the practice of discernment debriefing and are looking for ways to implement these two practices in their churches. It is really exciting to see what has been accomplished through this course in Korea. Pray for the seeds that have been sown, that there would be much fruit.
