This advanced ministry course, offered annually at the COC, on Spiritual Leadership meets the need of equipping church and ministry leaders for leadership that is led by the Holy Spirit and moves in the power and authority of Jesus Christ for building the Kingdom of God. This event is offered first to the members of the Dunamis Fellowship, but others are welcome to attend if they are called by God to grow in spiritual leadership. Our facilities at the COC limit us to thirty participants so it is important that Dunamis Fellowship members register early.

Over the years, PRMI has developed its unique style of spiritual leadership that emphasizes cooperating with the Holy Spirit in doing the ministry of Jesus Christ.

This approach to spiritual leadership, which is guided by the clear teachings of Scripture and modeled preeminently by Jesus, has proven effective not only in the renewal and growth of local congregations, but also in advancing the Kingdom of God.

The Community of the Cross provides the context for prayer and equipping that is centered in Jesus Christ and led by the Holy Spirit.

This five-day event will provide systematic teaching as well as discussion of leadership situations, practical exercises and personal ministry to help each of us grow as anointed spiritual leaders. There will also be a focus on personal and corporate prayer and growth in Christ as keys to our being effective leaders.

The core teaching concerning the way our different gifting and personality types cooperate with the Holy Spirit and each other in spiritual leadership will be provided by the Rev. Cindy Strickler, Director of the Dunamis Fellowship and the Rev. Brad Long, Executive Director of PRMI.

In addition, other topics will be offered by a team of teachers who have had extensive experience as spiritual leaders in particular areas.

The Rev. Cindy Strickler - Director, Dunamis Fellowship Cindy directs the Advanced Ministry Courses for PRMI. She, along with Brad Long, will provide foundational teaching on leadership that is led by the Holy Spirit. This will include a review of a personality system that is helpful for knowing oneself. Brad and Cindy will also provide the oversight and direction for this intensive leadership development course.

Each time a Spiritual Leadership Course is offered we bring in teachers who are able to mentor others in specific topics related to growing as a leader doing the work of Jesus Christ, led and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

The Cost of Participation in this Spiritual Leadership Equipping Course

PRMI is a faith ministry. There is no tuition or registration fee for participation. However, the costs to PRMI include food, materials, administration and the expenses of the teachers. Offerings will be taken at each gathering. We invite you to talk to Jesus about how much He wants you to give. Pray about giving not just to meet these expenses of the course, but to fulfill the vision of the Dunamis Fellowship and the Community of the Cross.

At this point, there is no housing at the Community of the Cross. A list of accommodations, showing their cost and location, will be sent upon registration. Please talk to Suzi Gibbs about what accommodations may be right for you.

Meals and meetings will be at the Community of the Cross. There is no staff at the Community of the Cross to serve us; we will need to serve one another. Working and eating together provides the context for building Christ-centered fellowship for equipping and doing the work of Holy Spirit-led prayer. We will all be assigned to work teams to prepare our meals and to take part in other jobs needed to be a community. Prepare for rustic surroundings and the possibility of rain.
